deadlines and more deadlines...

Why do people always use the end of the year as a deadline? The workload throughout the year is heavy enough and suddenly in the last quarter of the year, it quadruples... Especially in the month of December, as though everyone wants to 'close' accounts... sheesh...

I'm just overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work that needs to be done before the end of the year and boy am I getting stressed. And it isn't helping that the festive holiday mood is starting to start in. Pace slackens but workload increases... Doesn't help, does it..

It's been a busy busy morning and I'm about stoned now.. Just had lunch and now feeling extremely sleepy..

Had a call from him yesterday evening and I was surprised when he said he'll meet me downstairs for a drink. Imagine how elated I was.. I mean, you can't blame me.. After not seeing him for more than a month, I was obviously happy. It went well.. But he's still not ready to talk... sigh...
I've waited so long.. What's another few days....
