The first time I get to vote, I won't be in town... Damn... Not that I'm all excited about it, but it is an experience... After all, not all constituencies are contested... :)
Oh well... It is amusing to read the developments of each party and their manifestoes... It is even more amusing to see the exchange each candidate has with his/her opposition. I appreciate the fact that there is an opposition but is there any point if the opposition is there for the sake of having one? Pointless then, isn't it?
If all the opposition is going to do is lambast the incumbent for all it's done, or rather not done, then I say, shut the hell up...
If they are going to prove to the people that they are a worthy opponent, then show us how effective you are...
If it's going to be all talk and no action, then there is no point in having an opposition...
I'm not campaigning for PAP but the fact is, they have had a proven track record and for any opposition to equal or better that record is no mean feat... And thus far, I am unimpressed with the opposition's line up...
Anyway, update for the weekend... Went to MOS with ah ben n friends on Saturday... Like a 'suaku'.. First time there, see... Not impressed though.. I actually fell asleep... Can you beat that? But it's cool how they have different theme rooms... But the crowd is quite something.. Wide age range man... There were 'uncles' lined up at the bar counter, prowling.. Looking for prey... Gross...
Yesterday was Dad n Mum's 25th wedding anniversary... Didn't do much but we had a nice lunch and dinner together.. :) I hope they have many more happy years of marriage... Geez.. 25 years... That's an awfully long time... It can't be easy... But well...
Anyhow... It's going to be a mad week.. So many things to do before I leave... Still looking for a cultural costume.. darn..
But... 3 days to Langkawi!!!!!

I got a lil scared when it was my folks' anniversary. it would have been their 25th too. key words being would have. -sigh-
i went to visit daddy a few weeks back. it was hard. but i din tell anyone at home that i went.
do take care of yourself. u looked great on sunday over breaky. it's comforting to see you holding up. be it appearances or not, i'm proud of how you are coping.

Yeah... I knew it was their anniversary a month ago...
But likewise for you, I'm glad to see you're picking up the pieces, as best as you can...
Sometimes it can be for appearances sake, but whatever it is, be strong...
