Superstar?

It was with much disappointment that I received the news of the results of Channel U's Superstar finals. Not much to comment on the female winner but plenty to bitch about the guy's.
Before I go on to write more, let me just state for the record, this is NOT an attack on the blind community. I just don't understand why Wei Lian has actually emerged as men's winner. He can sing but definately not Superstar material! I honestly believe that he got there because of sympathy votes. I'm not saying that a blind person can't be Superstar but he has to have what it takes, ie, the voice. And this Wei Lian definately does NOT.
It just goes to show how blindly Singaporeans vote.
I don't know about you out there, but I sincerely hope the girl wins the Superstar Grand Finals.
