ITALY!!!!!
Finally!!! After the dismal lost of England and Brazil over the weekend, I finally got to see my favourite team get through to the finals!!! There were loads of Germany fans last night, some even decked out in the German jerseys... The game looked set to go into extra time and penalty shootouts... Until in the last 5 minutes of extra time, Italy scored 2 superb goals!! It was fantastic!!! And just like that, it was over... It was well worth staying up to watch.. And once again, I regretted not taking on the bet... I have pretty good instincts... So far, I've been pretty accurate in my predictions... And I hope Portugal wins tonight.. But that's highly unlikely...
Anyway, there has been changes to my work trip.. Postponed to 2 weeks later.. Which means to say, I can watch the finals!!! And you can bet I'll be rooting for Italy!!!
This is for Aud... read your blog... I'm glad you're holding up... Like I told you, God works in strange ways and often times, in ways we never thought possible... Hold fast to that faith and keep trusting.. You know you can always call me, anytime.. And I mean that... Don't ever feel that you're intruding...
So... 3 weeks more to course commencement... I'm starting to get excited as I receive letters for orientation, course material collections etc... Its been 4 years since I last touched a textbook or submitted an assignment... I feel as though my life has gone through some kinda change and it feels good. I miss the mugging for exams.. late night assignments and the marathon chat sessions... I wonder how different it will be this time round..
Half a year has flown by, just like that... It has been a roller coaster ride thus far... I still don't know what I want... I'm still lost... I'm hoping against all odds for someone to hand me a blueprint of my life and tell me exactly what to do.. it'll be so much easier, you think?
One thing I've learnt from him was, never falter when making a decision. Choose your path, stick by it and bear whatever consequences that come with it.
