Fatherly love and devotion...

Mothers have been known to possess 'supernatural' capabilities when it comes to having to save or protect their children, What about fathers?

Was talking to one father this afternoon. He just bought a baby parrot.. yes, interesting hobby. And the parrot shares the same birthdate as his new born baby. And he's got 3 barrels of wine that were harvested the date his eldest daughter was born. I was like 'wow....' Here is one father who really loves his kids... And it is evident to anyone who watches how he interacts with his children. He's like a walking playground. They climb all over him... literally..

I remember Daddy reading to me when I was really little.. (still am... but you get the point) And I have Daddy to thank for my interest in English. Daddy's not one to show his feelings.. But he shows it in different ways.. But I love my dad anyway.. Yes I do...
just in case anything untowards happens to me in future... somebody please show this entry to my dad.. :P

I'm proud to have a father who never fails to provide for the family. He was very successful in his career but he was never proud. And even now, when things haven't been going very well, he's not ashamed to do any job because he is a man of integrity and one who takes his responsibilities seriously. Daddy has always told me that no matter what path I take in life, as long as I do my best, he'll always be there to support me.

I'm thankful that I'm the only daughter, that means I'm Daddy's princess. I've always been protected since young, and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I was ferried to school even right up to poly... :P But! Its a priviledge I thoroughly enjoy... Protected and pampered as I am, Daddy has managed to instill a sense of independence in me. I don't like to depend on others to do things, and I rather complete a task on my own.. ie MY way...

I'm stubborn and opinionated, not unlike Daddy. I think I take after Daddy in alot of ways, even our driving style is quite similiar.. Though I'm no where near him in terms of skills.. Our taste in food is also quite similiar.. We love our grub. Alot of things I've experienced or done in life thus far, has been Daddy's influence, to some extent. Opinions, food, skills, squash etc...

Why am I blogging all this? I have no idea.. Just had this sudden thought that I've not mentioned my parents much in my blog, except the times when I complain about them.. Hehe.. Hence the decision to dedicate this entry to Daddy. Will blog one for Mummy in time to come. :) And I will be a good girl tonight and spend time with the folks..

Have had a busy week as usual... 4 days to the start of school.. I'm pretty excited!!
Anyways, have a super weekend!! 'Cos next Wed is a holiday!! Yayness!! Finally!!
