way overdue...
Yes, indeed.. This is a long overdue blog entry... Quite alot of things have happened since my last entry but I'm not about to go into details about each one. Guess the most worth mentioning and 'happening' thing that has happened would be Sel's wedding.. Forgive me, but each time my galfriends get married, I experience some weird emotional abyss. Yeah, even the term sounds weird. It's kinda hard to pinpoint exactly what I'm feeling. But just for the record, no, its not the i-wana-get-married-too feeling.
It's kinda like accepting the fact that people who are special to me are getting hitched. Perhaps it's also the fact that we're about the same ages and that people round me are actually settling down. Course, it doesn't help having the oldies asking, 'so when's your turn?' or 'got bf anot?' Like can't they ask other questions?? You know, for example, how's work or how's the weather over in the west or something besides that wretched question about my marital status.
Of course, I get all grouchy after being peppered by these questions that it kinda spoils the wedding for me. But yet, seeing Sel so beautifully made and looking absolutely radiant, did it for me... The whole wedding was quite something. From the church service to the wedding lunch, everything had a personal touch to it. And that's what a wedding is supposed to have. That touch...
I've gone for weddings where it's just simply a ceremonial rite they perform to seal their relationship legally. No goose-bumpy feeling, no 'aawwww', no happily-ever-after feeling. Just cold.
Certainly that's not going to happen for my wedding, if I can help it, that is... Anyhow, if and when I get to that stage, I promise to blog down everything darn detail... save for my gown measurements.. :)
Well... An eventful month December has been thus far and no matter how rotten the year has been, I refuse to let them spoil my Christmas mood. It is, afterall, my favourite festival of the year.. Nothing to do, of course, with the fact that my birthday is just days after Christmas.. hint hint... :P
In any case, I shall endeavour to blog more often and with more sense and sensibility, or whatever the hell that is supposed to denote. Heh.
P/S: I really wana have a nice layout for my blog... Would anyone wana volunteer to do that for me?? please....??
