Generation gap
I'm sitting here amidst the noise of a fast food restaurant, trying to collect my thoughts. I'm just amazed at the range of people you can find here. From the very young, to the very old.
Everyone, though here with the same intention of eating, is occupied with their own individual activities. From the toddler who is throwing a tantrum because mum wouldn't buy him the Happy Meal to the students who are trying to hold a project discussion to the insurance agent attempting to close a deal.
It's just amazing to see how one common venue can attract such a vast group of people, each with their own agendas.
As I type, I'm getting increasingly annoyed by this 4 year old brat who's trying to bully his grandma into getting him another ice cream cone. For crying out loud, just say no! The urge to reach across and smack him is getting harder to resist. But lest I be called a busybody, I shall mind my own business.
But if he stomps over here one more time, God help the poor child.
